Let’s Begin
Everyone comes to therapy looking for something different. Some people are seeking support through life transitions, changes or challenges. Others are simply looking for another person to talk things through with. Below you’ll find some specific areas of interest my services focus on.
Addiction counselling
Navigating your relationship with substances can be challenging to do on your own. My approach to supporting individuals through this process is non-judgmental and grounded in harm reduction. An important part of exploring your relationship with substances or addictive behaviours is gaining a better understanding of what they do for you, and what recovery will look like for you, specifically.
Body image and disordered eating
Many people are navigating a difficult relationship with food and their body in isolation. My work in this area focuses on developing greater self-compassion and moving towards a place of body neutrality. My approach is grounded in Health at Every Size (HAES) and the Intuitive Eating principles.
Self-compassion
At times, the relationship you have with yourself can be the most challenging one in your life. My work in this area focuses on gaining a better understanding of yourself, your emotions and thoughts to develop a more compassionate view of yourself and your challenges.
